Customer loyalty in Southern Africa has grown significantly over the past 10 years through improved activities in the previous 3-5 years. There are currently more than 100 loyalty programmes offered by companies in South Africa. Research into the global affluent middle class revealed that 59% of customers would spend more time with brands that offer loyalty programmes which can be easily earned and redeem.

Andries will share insights into how customer experience affects customer loyalty, highlighting learnings from the South African Customer Satisfaction Index (The SAcsi). His topic covers:

  • The implication of different loyalty constructs within the financial sector.
  • How customer experience influences customer loyalty.
  • The aspects of a customers’ experience that drive loyalty.
  • As well as sharing some proven techniques to retain more customers.

Getting to know Andries Noeth

Andries has more than 25 years’ experience in business consulting and market research. He has conducted in excess of 300 market research projects over the last 15 years for multinational companies in the medical, pharmaceutical, financial, insurance, telecommunications and petro-chemical industries. He has extensive experience in the field of customer experience management, customer loyalty and loyalty program design, customer value proposition development, brand equity and brand positioning, customer journey mapping and real time operational methodologies.

As a seasoned presenter he has presented at national and international conferences on topics such as:

  • Real-time research vs. Traditional research methods.
  • How to get your customers to fall in love with your brand.
  • Beyond a loyalty program: Engaging your customers to increase customer retention.
  • Branding, loyalty, loyalty rewards programs and customer engagement.

He has been acknowledged by the Australian Market & Social Research Society (AMSRS) for his contribution to professional learning, and has lectured at the University of Pretoria,  University of Johannesburg and UNISA.
