The Consulta Team

Because of the complexity of challenges we face and the battery of tools at our disposal there will never ever be a Consulta one size fits all solution. Our approach is always thoughtful and carefully constructed to meet, and hopefully exceed, clients’ requirements.

Today, CEO Philani Dlamini heads up a full-time team of about 50 highly trained specialists, performing the duties of client executives, project executives, project directors and interns.

We continue to hand pick potential Consultians based on the extent of their qualifications and their experience in the Customer Experience field. We expect our people to continually further and advance their studies, year-on-year. The fruit of this learning culture is that we boast a dynamic and constantly evolving team of high calibre people.

Bonang Mohale (Chairman)
Bonang Mohale was welcomed into Consulta in January 2008 as its first Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) partner. At the start of 2017, Bonang acquired the majority share of Consulta.

As a qualified marketer by profession, Bonang is currently Chairman of the Marketing Association of South Africa (MASA). Bonang is also a non-executive director of the National Business Initiative (NBI). He also holds directorships with South African Airways, Hollard Insurance Company Limited, Swiss Re African Limited and South African Express Airways.

Philani Dlamini (CEO)
Philani Dlamini is the newly appointed CEO of Consulta. A senior corporate executive with CA(SA) and CIA qualifications and more than sixteen years of working experience who specialises in finance with extensive experience in risk management, internal audit and oversight experience of business operations, human resources and IT. He took over the reigns in September 2018.

Professor Adré Schreuder (CVO)
Consulta Research was founded in July 1998 by its now Chief Visionary Officer (CVO), Prof Adré Schreuder, a doyen of the South African market research field. With more than 20 years of academic and research experience and as a full professor of marketing, Adré recognised the need to make pure, solid academic practices useful in the real world and from that Consulta was born.
